A hard surface coating applied to Acrylic windows (transparency) to potentially prevent crazing and UV (sun) damage that has over time, proven to be unstable due to differing shrinking and expansion characteristics. The result over time is very small cracks in the coating as the differences in coating and acrylic elasticity can no longer flex.
NewView is one of the few companies trained to remove hard surface coating without damaging a transparency, restoring clarity to nearly new condition. This is a very difficult process but for the owner of an aircraft experiencing crazing due to hard surface protective coating, saves thousands of dollars over replacement when possible.
We will help you determine if it is a hard surface coating issue or other crazing issue and will work with you to restore those surfaces. Why spend $6000 to $30,000 plus for a replacement window / lens when you could spend a fraction of that by restoring a transparency and add years of use?
There are other causes of crazing. If you have questions about what crazing looks like or where it comes from, please give us a call, 877-303-0709 or email us -Bruce@newviewtech.com.
